Only in his mid-30s, Pedro LaTorre has already been speaking professionally for half his life. Thanks to world-renowned motivational legends like Reggie Dabbs, he had the opportunity to begin his career as a teenager learning from the best. You may be wondering how it took you so long to hear of him. It’s because his goal has never been to build a brand, but simply to be a healthy man.

As a young shy boy, Pedro deeply longed to connect with his father through the game of baseball. His dad, a former pro baseball player, and mother went through a messy divorce when Pedro was only 7 years old. Over the years that followed, Pedro channeled all his efforts and interests into mastering the game as a means to professional success. In his final year of high school, with scouts present that pursuit came to a screeching halt as he was injured.

Starting from scratch, Pedro had to reimagine what life could look like. Having had no backup plan, he embarked on a journey of finding his purpose. He looked around at what was needed in the world around him and what tools/skills he had that could help. Pedro began to share his story in school assemblies across the nation. He vulnerably shared his childhood traumas, emphasized the power of our choices, and encouraged young people to live big lives on purpose.

Pedro helped start after-school sports and tutoring programs for inner-city youth. During an event he hosted for students, he had an unexpected encounter that resulted in a rare opportunity. One of Pedro’s childhood passions (music) was reawakened when he was asked to tour the country as a drummer for a well-known hip-hop artist. Over the next decade, Pedro got the rare opportunity to simultaneously pursue both passion and purpose.

His work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit, and young energy enable him to do it all in his twenties. While on tour, he began partnering with nonprofit organizations to combat teen suicide, build wells in third-world countries, and get education to kids around the world.

His career in motivational speaking continued to build in corporate settings, as well as in faith-based communities. He started consulting for companies and coaching teams on how to work effectively and efficiently toward their mission.
